Stopping and being grateful for the Golden Showers
Okay, tama na ang intermission from my weekend sojourn in Batad, Ifugao, Broadway and commuting how-tos (wow dami na pala intermission!!!), so back to business on sharing my experiences as a freelancer, a person without a regular 9-to-5 (or maybe a 9-to-sawa job). Last week, I share with you the mindsets you need and the battles you will face when you give up your regular job. And now, I will share with you the beauty of working without a regular job. Just saying it actually makes me smile
There. So what are some of these advantages you may ask? Here they are based on what I have and am going through…

How to get here from Ayala?
Since I already shared how to get to Ayala from the Fort, I am also sharing an alternative to get to The Fort from Ayala. I also used to take the taxi from Ayala but, again, I needed to slash my expenses and get there at half the price or more.
So after much searching, I finally found the new way to get to The Fort

How do I get here from The Fort, Taguig City???
I used to ALWAYS take a cab to get back to Ayala,Makati City when I had meetings / class at The Fort, Taguig City. Or I’d make sure I could hitch a ride with someone who was on their way there. I did this since the ride cost me around Php 75 to Php 120…one way, depending on the traffic. So that amount could actually afford me a meal already. Damn.
So after months of searching for an alternative means of transporation to get me there. I finally found a way…which only cost me: Php 20!!! Here’s how…

March 3rd, 2010Wais LessonsYesterday, I braved and invited myself to catch the rehearsals of Avenue Q by Atlantis Productions. Oo makapal mukha ko. It was a bloggers’ event to catch the updated cast of this super duper funny play. Bakit naman ako pumunta?
Because Avenue Q really played a significant role in my life during crossroads last 2008. It helped me laugh, as in halakhak, and learn at the same time nung super down in the dumps depressed ako.
So what da hell is Avenue Q about?
It’s a musical play about bright eyed Princeton, fresh college graduate who comes to New York with very big dreams and very little money. He ends up living in Avenue Q sharing his life with neighbors: both human and monsters alike. In my own words, it is Sesame Street with an adult twist, using puppets to share funny yet deep insights about REAL LIFE.
So here are some of the real life lessons I’ve learned from Avenue Q…

Do not leave anything important behind!
The back story of this trip is this: I was just a back-up traveler.
Wednesday afternoon, I received a text message from my friend E.B. who was asking me if I had any plans over the weekend. I said I did not have any so she asked me to give her a call at the office. Then she told me her situation that she scheduled a trip to Batad Ifugao and couldn’t make it. So she asked if I could join on her behalf. And I gave it some thought like a day and a half…so I eventually decided to join
Hehehe! On my trips, I usually super duper prepare and do my homework. But since I had limited time to do so (I had to work in between pa) I just relied on the itinerary shared by Travel Factor, the tour organizers.
But after going through one hell-of-a-trip (in a good way), here are some must bring items if you plan to go to Batad, Ifugao one of these days…
