Traveling the Wais Way
YES! I was able survive with only Php 1,850 for pocket money. I did enjoy the 4-day trip: Bohol Day Trip, Bonding in Busay, Cebu (overlooking the whole island) Island Hopping and Food Tripping in The Terraces. Dami noh? Take note I did not starve at all. Hehehe.
Here are some tips to work on a shoestring budget:
Live with a friend.
Aside from cutting on costs, I was able to enjoy the warmer hospitality of friends. We were entertained not just by compulsory greetings but with real stories and laughter. I guess this is just priceless.
Plus, because we stayed with them, we also got free rides around town. Literally.
Share a ride.

Share a ride, gain a friend
Okay there were times that our friends weren’t able to take us around. They also had a life there you know. Hehehe! So I was able to get around by sharing the taxi fare with a group of other friends. Instead of paying the full amount, we all chipped in. And some people would pay more than the others (that’s me!), so more savings for me!
Make sure the tours have free meals
The tours were prepaid. Thank God! And I did make sure that the tours had meals. Plus when the meals were buffet eat-all-you-can style, I really stuffed my self silly so that I was so full I don’t need to eat any more. Hehehehe!

Ask for help.
I was just honest about my budget limitation. In the bible, it even said: “Ask and you shall receive.” I asked for help and I received loads of it. I know it makes you feel like charity but I was just grateful for the help God has given me
What else do you do to survive your budget vacations?
