Globe Loyalty Rewards!

I just remembered that my contract with Globe telecom actually expired last month. And I do know that once Globe contract ends, customers are entitled to some loyalty rewards for, of course, not switching to the competition. So I made a quick call to the Globe Customer service hotline (Dial 211 on your Globe mobile number) early this afternoon.

And the reward is….

According to Mr. Customer Service representation (who sounded a bit gay to my delight), because of my sticking with Globe for the REQUIRED lock-out period of 24 months or 2-years and spending an average of Php 1,000 to Php 1,300 per month of phone bills, I am “rewarded” with my choice of:

Php 195 worth of rebate on my monthly Globe phone bill for 24-months or 2-years

OR

FREE Duo Service worth Php 399 per month, which entitles me to FREE unlimited landline and Duo calls within Metro Manila and Metro Cebu only, for 12-months or 1-year

So Php 195 rebate or FREE Duo Service?!? Whatchathink?

I hardly call landlines anyway. But I think Php 195 is a tad bit small. Okay I am thankful but pwede kaya masmalaki rebate? Hehehe. Though I don’t want to spend more for my phone bill. Hehehe! Labo men!

Hmmm baka I will be going for the Php 195 rebate. Sayang ang Php 195. Pwede ko na un pangkain sa favorite kong Le Ching :-) Beef Wanton Stewed Noodles here I come again! Hehehehe!

BUT hey, come to think of it, how come I was the one who had to call to know my loyalty rewards? Aren’t they supposed to inform me that I had such privileges? Baka tinitipid ang Globe rewards? Hehehe. From the loyalty programs I’ve experience, they do inform me of the perks that I get as a loyal customer. Because loyal customers are supposed to feel like queens. Or so I thought.

Hmmmm…To my fellow Globe subscribers, did Globe give you a call to inform you about your loyalty rewards or you made the call just like I did?

    well 2-years pa lang ako sa globe at hindi naman kalakihan ang bill ko noh. hehehe

    Why don’t you wait for your reward points to get bigger?

    Ako kasi mga more than 3 yrs na atang expired ang contract ko and last time I called Globe, they were offering me the Iphone 20k off… Ask na lang the CSR if your points accumulate if you don’t avail of your reward now.

    we never called them. we wait lang. before my dad would get free phones palagi. it was actually my first time to get something out of my globe line.

    some guy called lang and asked me if i wanted an i-phone or P900 rebate for 2years. i was like… i dont need an i-phone! give me the rebate!

    kuntento na ko sa phone ko! whahahahahahah!

    I’m my case. I called them after 2 months na mag expire yung contract ko. Kung di pa ako tumawag e di nila iinform na pwede na ako mag avail ng rewards.

    Plan 500 ako at ang rewards na inoffer e 145 rebate for 24 months or 6 months na free duo. I chose yung rebate kasi di rin ako tumatawag sa landline. Hinde na yata sila nagbibigay ng new phones pag hinde ganun kalaki yung plan mo.

    O well…

    i’m just wondering. is this reward thing a secret? kasi parang di nila gustong malaman ng plan holders nila unless you call them. o para lang ‘to sa mga employees & their close friends? share naman.

    paln 800 naman ako. at mejo kalakihan ng bill.

    same din ang offer na rebate sa akin, P195 rebate or globe duo. pinag-iisipan ko pa kasi parang ang liit masyado. last november pa ako nag-two years tapos jan ako tumawag sa kanila.

    Last monday, nakatanggap ako ng snail mail from Globe about bonus credits. puede daw pambili ng phone, etc…

    I also received the snail mail last week with the bonus credits… my contract with globe just ended this month… I also encountered problems and disappointment inquiring my globe rewards… I got full of it so I emailed Globe a letter of complaint over their rewards and fortunately a representative from the LOYALTY group talked with me not with the many CSR’s telling and offering me different rewards…

    My rebate went up from 195 to 255php (I suggest you negotiate your bill rebate…) but I insisted on the handset and luckily they have a nokia X3 available… and i got the unit last march 10, 2010

    My friend also did the same thing that i did, and got a better offer… he got his free blackberry 8520 even though we have the same plan but his monthly usage is higher than mine so I understand he got a better phone :(

    So guys good luck, hope they offer you better rewards…

    Is it really true na sobrang liit na ng rebates and/or rewards ngayon??

    I’m on my 94th bill already and was able to have rebates twice on the previous years. My last bill rebate is worth 400+ for 2 years coz I’m on plan800. (i think before your rebate will be half of your existing plan.)

    Sad naman kung ganun kaliit na lng ang rewards nila. I’ve been so loyal with Globe. Sana naman they could offer bigger rewards. Been thinking if they will give me an iPhone…

    its my 4th year as globe subscriber. im on plan 800. i had to call 211 to know my loyalty reward. guess what, 150 lang inoffer sakin nun rep, or ipod shuffle, or dvd player or turbo broiler. yun past reward ko was 600 rebate so i said i have to think about it coz hindi talaga ako satisfied sa mga inooffer sakin. i called again this morning, when i said i might downgrade to plan 500, bnbgyan na ko ng 248 na rebate if i keep my plan 800. i escalated. asking why as a loyal customer bakit parang hindi ko ma-feel yun reward. nasa 600 na yun rebate ko for 2 yrs then ido-downgrade nila. and never nila ko inofferan ng handset, not that i need one. so i escalated, still waiting for a reply from the loyalty team.

    I am availing the 16,000 miles from globe rewards. That’s equivalent to a free roundtrip airfare via PAL for two to Kalibo, Cebu or Palawan. My husband & I chose the latter. One should be a Mabuhay Miles member to be able to avail of the rewards promo.

    Last April 21, i just finished my 24 months contract with globe for the free mobile unit. I inquired for the new mobile, i was told by Globe (festival) that i will be called by their “loyalty group” after 5 days. And that my inquiry about the reward is subject for approval and/or availability. (oh men..)

    after 6 days, nobody called. Instead, i called their customer service (211). Again, i was told of other rebates and that they can not be certain if i could receive their reward.

    Is this possible? where is the so called loyalty importance from Globe subscriber. I am a post paid user. I pay my bills regularly. I could atleast received a very nice treatment/approach from Globe loyalty group and give me some concrete answer about their reward.

    Anyways, im not spending time following up from Globe. Im cutting my line with Globe.

    my case. i have two lines (three actually but one has not yer been out of the lock-in period.

    my first reward was a P250.00 monthly rebate for a plan500. my other line, i got a rebate of 416.00 per month fo a plan 800 which i downgraded to plan 500.00. i got his because the csr who talked to me was a bit in error to assume i was still with plan800. since the offer has been made and i reminde globe of it, i finally got it. imagine just paying 84.00 per month for the plan 500.

    my other plan was free last february 2010. instead of having availed the P250.00 rebate, i am only offered 100+. so i terminated it.

    no regrets, however. i enjoyed the plan. i enjoyed the rewards.

    but most of all, i enjoyed their services. not that i have no complains, but in attending to my complaints, globe is superb. with other networks, you will die of frustration.

    I have to call 211 thrice to check what where the available rewards. There usual script ” The reward is subject to changes. “. There right. I was given the following options: 1. Billing rebates of 288 a month for 24 months 2. Deviant portable DVD player 3. 8,000 mabuhay miles 3. Nintendo DS Lite 4. Apple Itouch but you need to cash out (lol). I haven’t received the claim coupon yet, I called last week of April 2010, the csr process the request and told me to expect to received the reward coupon by may 19, 2010. May 20 – nothing arrived and so with the days after. I have to call 211 4 times and they would always say expect a callback from rewards dept within 24 hours, walang nangyari. What’s ironic nakausap ko pa yong csr na nagprocess ng request. Anyways, after days of waiting for a callback. At last tumawag yong retention rep nila (I dn’t know what timezone they’re using). He promised that I’ll get it by June 7. Case closed. Then yesterday I received a text: You will be receiving the loyalty reward coupon by June 10, 2010 and prepare 1. A signed re-contracting form 2. A valid ID 3. An authorization Letter 2. Your representatives valid ID. (Hahahahahaha). I called 211 and ask the csr where i can get a signed re-contracting form – Di nya alam instead sabi ” I’ll email you sir a redemption form coz you need it to claim the reward coupon once it is delivered by your mail courier… Hahahaha… Wish me luck… The prize of being loyal…

    I got really fed up with Globe. After being a loyal subscriber since 1997 they never gave me a free phone. I had to call them to remind them my contract had expired but they always tell me there are no phones offered or would force free duo on me.

    The rebates I got for plan 800 were so low at Php200. So on Dec 2009 I cut my line and switched to prepaid for Globe, Smart and Sun. Wow, that was the only time Globe begged me to stay and offered a free E63 and an upgraded simcard. Forget it!!! Too late the hero.
