This morning, the mailman personally handed me an envelope (as I was coincidentally in the garage when he arrived), which I automatically thought was another payable because I recognized the HSBC-ness of the envelope. To my very pleasant surprise, it was the pick-up vouchers for my SM and Rustan’s gift certificates from my HSBC credit card points YEHEY!

Starting the year with a clean slate

Part of my promises to myself this 2010 is to declutter. I actually started a few months back which I shared in this post (which BTW I am still selling these clothes. Hehehe!). So I checked out my closet and went through all the “trash” I’ve been keeping through the years…including old palanca letters, test papers, just letters and more, which have been collecting dust since I was gradeschool! Imagine that! I’ve been out of gradeschool for 15 years! HUWAAATTT??!!??

I’ve promised myself to fix some of my pending government requirement this week and the week after. This is since I am now officially under the voluntary contribution bracket and not formally employed anymore. Sorry no HR people to do this for me. I am not ashamed to admit that I do recycle gifts.Hmmm well dahil hindi na kasing dami ang regalo ko ngayong pasko because I am not in corporate anymore, I used to recycle gifts. Hayan past tense na.

This is the time of the year. Most probably your office is on half day or you’ve already taken a leave of absence to start preps for the big Christmas celebration. So now you’ve received almost, if not all your Christmas goodies from family. friends and colleaugue; and it’s time to sort out the garbage from the keepers. Garbage goes to other people who’d appreciate it more, while the keepers, obviously, you get to keep.
