Do not leave anything important behind!

The back story of this trip is this: I was just a back-up traveler.

Wednesday afternoon, I received a text message from my friend E.B. who was asking me if I had any plans over the weekend. I said I did not have any so she asked me to give her a call at the office. Then she told me her situation that she scheduled a trip to Batad Ifugao and couldn’t make it. So she asked if I could join on her behalf. And I gave it some thought like a day and a half…so I eventually decided to join :-) Hehehe!

On my trips, I usually super duper prepare and do my homework. But since I had limited time to do so (I had to work in between pa) I just relied on the itinerary shared by Travel Factor, the tour organizers.

But after going through one hell-of-a-trip (in a good way), here are some must bring items if you plan to go to Batad, Ifugao one of these days…

I CONQUERED BATAD, IFUGAO!

I can proudly say that! Raaaaarrrr! Because my legs are literally aching all over. I can’t even walk decent…I think I will be wobbling like a penguin for the next few (I hope!) days.

But inspite of the physical pain, I highly encourage you to pack your bags and head up north to Batad, Ifugao. Why? I give you a few reasons why…

Raaaaaaarrriiiing to splurge!

I know I said that 2009 would be my saving year but, of course, I still do not want to give up my luxuries entirely. I do not believe in deprivation so I still need to enjoy and celebrate our hard earned salary by reveling in some luxuries here and there. These splurges would be not as often as I’d like them to be but I firmly impose on myself that splurges must help me become a better person. Hence, these are in reality more are of investments rather that just plain indulgent splurges.

So serious of me noh? I guess this time I do really really need to discipline the splurging urges more. And after so much mind debating (which went on for about a week or two), I promise myself these would be the most prudent splurges for 2009 (and maybe even for the rest of my life):
